True Story: Managing Business Risk with FMEA

True story.

John and I found ourselves managing plastic extrusion department, 3 shifts 24/7 high volume manufacturer. We both had extensive experience with injection molding but limited knowledge of the extrusion process. We used FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) tool involving all the talented people from the production floor. At the end we had all the process related risks not only well exposed but also prioritized. Great tool when used in the right way.
